Nature Reserves
Nature Reserves are similar to National Parks, the only difference being that Nature Reserves are smaller in size; most of them being less than 1,000 ha. By definition, a Nature Reserve is constituted to conserve the flora, fauna and the aesthetic value of the whole area either for education, research or recreation.
To date, there are five constituted nature reserves in Sarawak. These are
- Wind Cave Nature Reserve
- Sama Jaya Nature Reserve
- Semenggoh Nature Reserve
- Bukit Sembiling
- Bukit Hitam
