The Visit of Monash University Students Kuala Lumpur To Forest Department

A group of 15 students (first year undergraduate and Master students) from Monash University Kuala Lumpur led by Associate Prof. Dr. Christina Lee, Head of School visited  Forest Department Headquarters on 25 May 2012.

The purpose of the their visit was to better understand Sarawak's Tropical Rain Forest  and the sustainable forest management as well as the conservation in Sarawak.

Dr. Affendi Suhaili, Head of System Application and Development Unit (SADU)  gave a  briefing on “Forest Management in Sarawak”. Among those present were Dr. Patricia Lau and other Senior Officers.

The students also visited Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation Timber Museum, Kubah National Park and Semonggoh Wildlife Centre.
