A   group of 36 students from  Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM)  led by Dr. Zahari bin Rosli , Head of Fakulti Sains Pertanian dan Makanan visited Forest Department Headquarters on 20 February 2013.

The purpose of the visit was to allow the students had an opportunity to gain a better understand of Sarawak Forest Department function and activities such as the present situation of forest management and conservation, forest plantation, forest enforcement as well as forest research development.

On arrival to receive them was  En. Suliman Jamahari from International Affairs Division. He also gave a briefing on “Forestry in Sarawak” to the students . Among those present were Heads of Division/Units of Forest Department.
