The implementation of MS ISO 9000 in the Sarawak Forest Department was officially launched by the Director of Forests, Mr. Cheong Ek Choon, at the department's headquarters (in Wisma Sumber Alam) on 29 January 2000.

The Sarawak Forest Department had successfully documented 3 core processes: royalty assessment, royalty billing and royalty recovery.
